GSBPL has successfully launched it's first product of BCG 10(Freeze dried),a safe and effective bacterial vaccine for immunization against tuberculosis.

BCG vaccine

They have largely been targetted against viral and bacterial pathogens,as well as some bacterial toxins and,to a lesser extent parasitic agents such as malaria..The term "traditional" refers to those vaccines whose development predated the advent of recombinant DNA technology.These can be categorized as below:

Live,attenuated bacterial strain of Mycobacterium tuberculosis e.g Bacillus Calmette-Guerin(BCG) used to active immunization against tuberculosis.

The product is readily available for the global market with a capacity of approximately 1 million vials of 10 doses per month,The most important feature of our BCG vaccine is that the seed strain used for production is of Danish 1331 which is the same strain successfully being used for several decades.The vaccine Is manufactured in a cGMP compliant production unit conveniently located in the outskirts of Chennai city.This unit is exclusively dedicated to BCG vaccine alone.
